ABOUT US

The Plastics For Change India Foundation was set-up in September 2019 with a vision to formalize the informal plastics recycling sector and provide a holistic intervention program for one of its key, yet most vulnerable, stakeholders - informal waste collectors. The foundation engages in sustainable and scalable interventions to deliver it’s programs and achieve lasting impact. It's services include financial inclusion, social inclusion, education, healthcare, nutrition, training & awareness, empowering women, recycling infrastructure and low cost shelter. 


THE ROLE:

Title: Social Media Consultant (Part-time)

Reports To: Associate Manager - Marketing

Experience: 1 -3 years experience in Content Creation

Location: Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop a strategy for Plastics For Change India Foundation’s newly created social media platforms, in order to boost engagement and grow our following.

  • Asset Development: Work with our social work team to collect assets of the foundation’s work in informal waste collector communities.

  • Content Creation and Design: Create content for our social media channels - including research and drafting blog posts/social media posts.

  • Media Outreach: Reach out to Media Outlets and Journalists to bring awareness to the work of the foundation.

Flexibility is required and the incumbent is expected to carry out any other  related duties that are necessary for the optimum functioning of the company as a whole within the employee's skills and abilities whenever a need is pointed out, becomes apparent or as reasonably instructed. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding and experience in using social media tools (analytics and content management)

  • Experience in content creation - written and visual - preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing preferred, but open to current students as well.

  • General knowledge of social & environmental concepts and methods. 

  • Fluency in English a must, knowledge of Kannada useful.
