The Role:
Title: Project Coordinator
Reports To: Regional Manager- Programs
Location: Chennai (Tambaram), Andaman & Nicobar (Port Blair)
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Developing Fund Management:
The Project Coordinator will work closely with the ULB (Urban Local Body) and waste managers (ULB waste collectors & DWCC workers) towards their overall social and economic development.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the waste managers development policy and fund.
2.1. Publishing and creating awareness on waste managers development policy and fund through different modes of communication.
2.2. Accepting, screening, verifying and processing the incoming applications for various services and disbursing the benefits/services as per the SoP & policy.
2.3. Conducting home visits to cross verify the beneficiaries, to develop case studies etc.
3. Organise and facilitate time-to-time consultation/review meetings with ULB officers, development committee and waste managers to implement the development policy successfully.
4. Reviewing and developing robust policies and SoPs for effective implementation.
5. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of cross-functional roles within foundation/company projects, working closely with the Regional Manager-Programs and other team members of the Plastics For Change.
6. Work towards effective day-to-day interventions/activities w.r.t. waste managers development policy, development committee/board, networking and follow-up activities.
7. Coordinate with ULB officials, line departments, other government agencies, stakeholders and beneficiaries to ensure development benefits/services are implemented as per the SoP.
8. Organise & schedule field visits as and when required.
9. Facilitating management and client visits to ULB & supply chain.
Reporting and Documentation:
Use PFC applications to document, manage and report development policy operations.
Log KPI data into PFC applications to monitor performance.
Managing, monitoring and reviewing the development policy operations periodically with required documentation.
Ensuring timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on prescribed formats and applications.
Submit timely financial income & expenditure reports
General responsibilities:
Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.
Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.
Ownership and co-ordination of collaborative team contact with stakeholders.
Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
Willingness to travel frequently across India, sometimes at short notice, including other places as per need of project or company.
Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
5+ years experience in program management in the social sector.
3+ years experience in government relations, advocacy & policy related work.
Experience working with the informal sector workforce.
Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
Experience of being part of any program/project management or field work would be an added advantage.
Engagement, plastics recycling, and waste management will be helpful.
Fluency in English, Tamil and Hindi languages. .

Good computer skills – MS Office and Working on CRM tools.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
